Former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland has not appeared on AEW programming for several weeks, with his last appearance being on the March 25th episode of Dynamite. During that episode, he lost an AEW World Championship #1 Contender’s Match to Kenny Omega.
Fightful Select previously reported that Strickland was not scheduled to appear at the recently concluded Dynasty PPV, as he attended a signing event on the same day.
According to the latest report from Fightful Select, Strickland recently filmed promotional material for All Elite Wrestling’s broadcast partner, Warner Bros. Discovery, which is the reason for his absence from television. However, the report did not provide any details regarding the content of the material that Strickland filmed.
