Backstage News On Whether Danhausen Still Owns His Face-Painted Look After Joining WWE

WWE star Danhausen has gained significant popularity among fans since his debut at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event earlier this year. His horror-themed face paint and comic timing set him apart from other wrestlers. Interestingly, last year, during an appearance on "Insight with Chris Van Vliet," Danhausen revealed that he has trademarked his unique look.

After signing with WWE earlier this year, a curious fan asked Sean Ross Sapp during a recent edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A whether Danhausen still owns the copyright for his face-painted design or if that now belongs to WWE.

Sapp explained that when a wrestler signs with WWE, they often have to give up many rights. However, if a wrestler owns something before signing a contract with the company, they typically regain ownership if they leave the promotion. He also noted that wrestlers end up signing away several "surprising things" during the onboarding process.
