Backstage News On TNA Expecting To Begin Contract Extension Talks After New TV Deal Announcement

As previously reported, TNA Wrestling has officially announced a deal with AMC, set to begin on Thursday, January 15, 2026. This agreement will allow iMPACT to air weekly episodes on both AMC and AMC+, along with additional live episodes.

Several contracts within the company are approaching their expiration dates. Jody Threat’s deal has already expired as of December 1, while talents such as Steve Maclin, The Rascalz, AJ Francis, Jake Something, and Mustafa Ali all have contracts that will expire at the end of this year. Additionally, The IInspiration and Cedric Alexander’s contracts expired after Bound For Glory, and discussions have started with some talent, though not all.

According to Fightful Select, multiple contract extension talks are anticipated to take place over the next week. The report also noted that some TNA talents have expressed a desire to wait for the announcement of the new TV deal before entering negotiations. It remains unclear how many or which talents will receive contract extensions, but TNA has shown interest in retaining many of the talents whose contracts are up.

Furthermore, the report indicates that TNA is considering bringing in new talent, including former AEW star Bear Bronson and others.
