During last Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, a video package highlighted injured wrestler Will Ospreay, who is currently recovering from neck surgery to repair herniated discs he sustained last year. On the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed Ospreay’s injury status and provided an update on a potential return timeline.
According to Meltzer, Ospreay is not expected to return to the ring anytime soon. He mentioned that Ospreay is scheduled to begin very light training this month, but his recovery process is still a long way off. Meltzer also noted that although some people think Ospreay might be ready just in time for All In, which is certainly the goal, he is unsure if that timeline is realistic given the nature of Ospreay's surgery.
It is uncertain whether Ospreay will be ready to make his in-ring return in time for AEW All In 2026, as AEW plans to return to Wembley Stadium in London for the event. This likely explains the company's hope that Ospreay will be back in action by then. AEW All In 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, August 30th, in London, England.
