Backstage News on WWE Being Upset With Taz's Line at Fyter Fest

-- During Wednesday’s Fyter Fest on TNT, it was announced that Brian Cage and Jon Moxley will now wrestle on Fight for the Fallen on July 15 after originally being scheduled for next week. Following this, Taz came out with Cage to cut a promo that was filled with shots not only directed to Moxley but subtle jabs at WWE too. At one point, Taz noted that AEW doesn’t run a “sloppy shot” which many took to as a shot towards WWE as they have been criticized for only recently started COVID-19 testing after a recent outbreak among performers last week. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, it was reported that several people in WWE were said to be “very upset” with Taz’s line, probably because they consider that topic off limits as the two promotions engage in their ratings battle.
