As previously reported, Grammy Award winner and music star Jelly Roll made an appearance on last Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown during a MizTV segment alongside The Miz and Kit Wilson. During this segment, Jelly Roll inadvertently knocked out The Miz.
According to a report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE has been in discussions with Jelly Roll about making an appearance at WrestleMania 42, potentially even participating in a match.
BodySlam+ has reported that there are plans for Jelly Roll to compete in a tag team match at WrestleMania, teaming up with Royce Keys, who is formerly known as Powerhouse Hobbs in AEW. The storyline would focus on both men overcoming past hardships in their lives. If Jelly Roll does team with Royce Keys at WrestleMania 42, it is likely their opponents will be Kit Wilson and The Miz. However, WWE has not yet announced a match for the music star at WrestleMania.
Royce Keys made his WWE debut in January at the 2026 Royal Rumble event, where he competed in the Men's Royal Rumble match. However, he has not appeared on WWE programming since then, aside from an appearance on the “What’s Your Story?” podcast with Stephanie McMahon, which was promoted on WWE TV. Keys has participated in several dark matches on SmackDown since the Royal Rumble, as WWE plans to give him more in-ring experience before finalizing his creative direction.
WWE WrestleMania 42 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both nights will be broadcast live on the ESPN App in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
