As previously reported, WWE Hall of Famer and NXT Executive Producer Shawn Michaels recently announced via his Twitter (X) account that NXT Stand & Deliver 2026 will take place at The Factory in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, April 4. This marks the first time the premium live event will be held outside of the WrestleMania weekend.
PWInsider.com later provided insights into this decision, explaining that WWE opted to move the NXT premium live event away from WrestleMania weekend due to timing conflicts experienced when hosting the show on the West Coast in recent years. This change aims to prevent the event from getting overshadowed during what is typically a busy weekend.
In a recent edition of the Fightful Select Answers Q&A, a fan asked Sean Ross Sapp about the reasons behind WWE's departure from tradition. Sapp confirmed PWInsider.com's earlier report, stating that time zone challenges and a congested lineup during the company's most significant weekend prompted the promotion to schedule the event for an earlier date. He also noted that NXT talents are relieved they won’t have to arrive early in the morning after attending the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony the night before.
