Backstage WWE Rumors On Winners Of Today's Smackdown Matches, Possible Opponent For Drew McIntyre

WWE is gearing up for the next challenger for the Undisputed title by having four singles matches on today's episode of Friday Night Smackdown.

The matches are: The Miz vs. Randy Orton, Matt Cardona vs. Trick Williams, Damien Priest vs. Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn vs. Ilja Dragunov. The winners of those matches will move onto face each other in a fatal four-way where the victor would become the new #1 contender and challenge for the WWE Title, currently held by Drew McIntyre.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer speculated that the winners of the four matches tonight will be Orton, Williams, Priest and Zayn and that a good guess is that Zayn ends up winning the four-way, thus moving onto face McIntyre in Saudi Arabia at the Rumble.

The speculation is based on the fact that Zayn, who was not completed black listed and banned from Saudi Arabia in the past due to his Syrian background, is now a major babyface in the country due to his acceptance of their culture. The story would be that Zayn would be gunning for his first ever win over McIntyre as well as his first ever World Title win - something that has eluded him throughout his WWE career.
