A massive announcement was recently made by WWE that SmackDown Women's Champion Bianca Belair will be defending her SmackDown Women's Title against Bayley at the upcoming WrestleMania Backslash Event. It was believed that following Sasha Banks' loss to Belair at WrestleMania, The Boss would get her title rematch against the SmackDown Women's Champion.
A confrontation was supposed to take place on between Banks and Belair on last week SmackDown, but it was nixed, although the feud did continue. It is believed that Banks vs. Belair will still take place down the line.
It remains to be seen if a Triple Threat showdown between Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks and Bayley is on the horizon or if this is just a singles feud between Bianca Belair and Bayley, but there was talk of how Bayley had a strong year, only to be left off of the WrestleMania 37 card.
The WrestleMania Backlash PPV is set to take place on Sunday, May 16th from inside WWE ThunderDome at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
