This past April 19th, former WWE Star Peyton Royce (real name Cassie McIntosh) filed to trademark her new ring name "Cassie Lee" with the United States Patent and Trademark Office under the entertainment services category, with the assistance of Michael E. Dockins, who has helped a number of talents file their trademarks in the past as well. Royce has also changed her name from Peyton Royce to Cassie Lee on her social media accounts.

Royce was among the WWE Superstars recently released, along with Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green, Bo Dallas, Billie Kay, Mojo Rawley, Mickie James, Wesley Blake, Tucker and Kalisto. Royce is under a 90-day non-compete clause with the WWE until July 14th. She has been with the company since April 2015, and last wrestled on the March 22nd episode of RAW, losing to Asuka.
