The main event of last night's WWE NXT episode saw The Way (Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell) beat the duo of Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon in a Street Fight to capture the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles. The match ended with Hartwell putting Moon through a table at ringside prior to Candice LeRae hitting Shotzi Blackheart with brass knuckles, and then delivering a Wicked Stepsister into a steel chair for the pin.
This is The Way’s first time becoming the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions and the third-ever to become the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Shotzi and Ember became the NXT Women's Tag Team Champions on the March 10th episode of NXT when they beat Dakota Kai and current NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez, the same night the titles were introduced.
