As previously reported, the main event of last night's WWE NXT episode saw The Way (Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell) beat the team of Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon in a Street Fight to capture the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles. Immediately following NXT went off the air, WWE COO Triple H took to Twitter and posted his trademark backstage picture with the new WWE NXT Women's Tag Team Champions, just like he does after a new champion is crowned, and even gave props to both teams.
Triple H wrote, “Broken tables, snapped ladders, fire extinguishers, one HELL OF A STREET FIGHT and NEW #WWENXT Women’s Tag Team Champions!!! @indi_hartwell @CandiceLeRae #Congrats #ThePoint #WeAreNXT @WWENXT”
WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels also took to his Twitter to congratulate the newly crowned champions and to give props to both teams.
Michaels wrote, “Well both of those teams put on a FIGHT! Congratulations to the #NEW #WWENXT Women’s Tag Team champions!!!”
