"The American Dragon" was on his FINAL COUNTDOWN to victory on Sunday night.
And then it happened.
Bryan Danielson, who came out to Europe's "Final Countdown" for his ring entrance for his excellent main event showdown against Kazuchika Okada at AEW & NJPW: The Forbidden Door 2 on Sunday evening, reportedly suffered an injury near the end of the bout.
The Blackpool Combat Club member spoke about the injury, believed to be a fractured arm, during the post-show press conference inside Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
“We think I fractured my right forearm with about ten minutes left to go,” he said. “But talking to our doctors, and I love the AEW medical staff and trainers."
Danielson then noted that doctors believe he will be on the sidelines for six to eight weeks recovering from the injury.
"They think it’s going to be 6-8 weeks for this specific injury," Danielson said.
