A Singles Match took place during last night's Extreme Rules go-home episode of RAW, where Jeff Hardy faced Sheamus, with the stipulation being that if Jeff Hardy defeats The Celtic Warrior, then he will be added to the Damian Priest vs. Sheamus WWE United States Title Match at Extreme Rules. Sheamus was defeated by Jeff Hardy, which means that the WWE United States Championship Match at Extreme Rules is now a Triple Threat Match.
It was previously reported that a Tables Match stipulation was talked about for the WWE United States Title Match at Extreme Rules, but it remains to be seen if this stipulation will be added later on by the WWE.
WWE Extreme Rules is set to take place on Sunday, September 26 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
