Chris Jericho Files New Trademark For Term Tied To His Beatdown By The Demand

Top AEW star Chris Jericho recently filed a trademark application for the term “The Guy Who Gets His Ass Beat By The Demand Every Week That He Shows Up” on April 15th, as reported by Fightful.com. This trademark seeks to cover entertainment services, specifically for providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network.

The filing followed the events of last Wednesday night’s Dynamite: Spring BreakThru, which took place after Jericho lost to Ricochet in a singles match at the recent Dynasty pay-per-view, thanks to assistance from Ricochet's Demand stablemates, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun.

During Dynamite, Jericho acknowledged Ricochet's victory, while pointing out that he was overwhelmed by the numbers game at Dynasty. The Demand interrupted him, and Ricochet told Jericho that he performed admirably but could not overcome Ricochet's momentum. Ricochet then suggested that Jericho should consider quitting while he was ahead, asking, “Why not be the guy who gets his a** beat by The Demand every week?”

Jericho made references to Ricochet’s bald head and challenged him to leave Liona and Kaun behind for a one-on-one fight. Ricochet initially agreed and asked his stablemates to stay back as he entered the ring. However, Jericho quickly took him down. Ricochet then called for Liona and Kaun’s help, which they provided, leading to a beatdown of Jericho by all three men.
