WrestleMania 42, Night One Live Results (Apr. 18, 2026) - Allegiant Stadium - Las Vegas, NV

Welcome to WrestleMania Saturday!

Welcome one and all to night one of WrestleMania 42! We hope you're having a great weekend and thank you for joining us on this holiday weekend! Tonight's card is packed with seven matches, and the first hour or so should air free on either ESPN or ESPN2. I'm also told there's a free trial for ESPN+, a three-day one, so if you've ever wanted to watch WrestleMania while checking out the insanely awesome ESPN+ product, now's your chance! ESPN+ is loaded with all of the action-packed, adrenaline-fueled variety of content to sate your sports appetite. Also, this will be our first WrestleMania without some notable greats in the profession, namely Sabu, Mongo McMichael, Hulk Hogan, and John Cena (the latter retired, do not think he's dead please, I meant as an active performer.)

God Bless America Rendition

The Las Vegas Mass Choir performs a great rendition of "God Bless America" live on the WrestleMania stage!

WrestleMania Opening + Host John Cena

We're welcomed by our color commentary team and are treated to several clips of Superstars in various states of readiness ahead of the Show on Shows! Michael Cole & Corey Graves run down the card for us before our WM42 vignette, featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton fame. At 6:04pm, we get the entrance for WWE Hall of Famer and 17-time Champion, John Cena! He makes his way to the ring in a sharp blue suit, jogging the last stretch of the lengthy entrance. He shows the crowd some love and gets on mic. He needs a moment as emotion overwhelms him. "Sorry, uh, long time fan; long time performer; first time host!" He goes on. "It's undeniable that this year's road to WrestleMania has been chaos...it has been unpredictable." He says its been polarizing, and states that this is the moment he loves the most. He says the time to talk is up, and the time to deliver is now. "And we are all here with one thing on our minds--who tonight will step up and deliver? It is such a great honor! Ladies and gentleman...welcome to WrestleMania!" Pyro goes off and our show kicks off!

Six-Man Tag Match: Logan Paul, Austin Theory & iShowSpeed vs the Usos & LA Knight

The Usos immediately begin their entrance, deluxe style, through the crowd as soon as the pyro fires off. LA Knight is out next at 6:10pm, and drives a red pickup truck painted up in custom matching artwork, onto the stage. Out next are the Vision's Logan Paul & Austin Theory, accompanied by popular streamer iShowSpeed, sans WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman. We get our bell at 6:16pm and the Usos start us off by hitting Superkicks on the Vision, sending them out of the ring! LA Knight grabs Speed and the two start to spar. Speed gets a move in and taunts Knight, but mostly it's a slower pace with Knight in control. Logan Paul tags in, only for Knight to take him to the Uso corner and stomp away to chants of "Yeah" from the raucous crowd. Paul quickly takes control, then the Vision begin using quick tags to isolate Knight then Jimmy Uso. The pace slows as the heels bring iShowSpeed in briefly before taking control. Big Jim looks for a hot tag but Logan Paul wisely attacks Knight & Jey on the apron, blocking any chance at a tag.

Paul & Theory continue to maintain a slow and steady pace, isolating Jimmy Uso for lengthy stretches. Uso looks to gain some separation with a Corkscrew Moonsault out of the corner, bringing in Jey just as Paul tags in Austin Theory. Jey yeets all over Theory's face, then drops him with a big spear. Paul dives in to break up a pin attempt, then hits a lovely gutwrench suplex on Jey. Austin takes control, dropping Jimmy with a big fist. He then sends Jey into the ring post. Jimmy drops both Visionaries with Superkicks. iShowSpeed attacks him from behind. LA Knight enters and looks for a BFT on Speed, but the Vision make the save. Theory yells at Speed, then puts Knight in a side headlock. Theory yells at Speed to rebound off the ropes and, assumingly, attack Knight. This distraction allows Knight to shove Theory into Speed, then hit the BFT on Theory and pick up the win at 6:22pm. Okay, that was short.
Your Winners, the Usos & LA Knight! (6 minutes)

After the Match Segment, AKA the Rest of the Match

Logan Paul begins to flip out on Speed, then clocks him with his "titanium" fist. He yells at Speed, stating Speed only had one job, and that Speed ruined his WrestleMania. Paul attacks Speed, sending him outside, yelling that Speed is a moron and needs to stay out of professional wrestling. Paul positions Speed on top of the announce table then goes up top. The Usos hit the ring, making the save, and hit the 1-D on Paul. Knight goes outside and gets Speed. "C'mere my man, you good?" Knight asks Speed that, then sends him into the ring to the Usos. The Usos pep up Speed as LA Knight attacks Paul, setting him up on the commentary table. Speed is encouraged to go up top, and does so. Speed stands on top of the ring post then hits a Frog Splash off the top, onto Paul and through the commentary table for a good pop. They take Speed into the ring and all four men celebrate. This ran four minutes, nearly as long as the match.

Unsanctioned Match: Drew McIntyre vs Jacob Fatu

We get our official announcement that this is an unsanctioned match so WWE will not be held responsible for damages, et cetera. Out first is Jacob Fatu at 6:34pm. He's wearing camo-themed gear and has a werewolf mask on his back. Drew McIntyre is out next, but is attacked by Fatu as he approaches the ring. Our start time is 6:38pm. Fatu and McIntyre begin a brutal battle outside the ring. Fatu gains an early upper hand, and even finds a tool box to threaten McIntyre with. Drew battles back, turning the tables before setting up tables in the ringside area. These two big boys are going at a fast and brutal pace, so you're getting the highlights. Fatu tries to avoid table troubles but runs right into a thudding clothesline from McIntyre. Drew spends too much time taunting the Samoan Werewolf, allowing Fatu to get back into the fight. The two titans collide in the ring; Fatu with a snap Samoan Drop to Drew but fails to cover. Chairs are scattered throughout the ring; the red steel toolbox ominously awaits on the apron.

Both Superstars take turns in control of offense, with both looking equally matched. Drew sends Fatu out of the ring then hits a big, beautiful tope over the top to wipe out Fatu at ringside! Drew sends Fatu back into the ring, posts up in the corner, and counts down for a Claymore. Drew fires it off but Fatu ducks under! Fatu sends Drew's face into a steel chair wedged in the corner then follows it up with his mighty moonsault for a cover--but no joy! The crowd is heavily into this match. McIntyre grabs a wrench and whacks Fatu in the knee Harding style! Fatu then uses the wrench to grind the face of Fatu, laughing sadistically as he does so. McIntyre sets up a pair of chairs in the ring, facing each other, then threatens a suplex. A man of his word, McIntyre follows through on said threat, putting Fatu through them both. Drew covers but no joy! Drew begins to yell at Dan Engler, the ref, and we're reminded that the two have a history. McIntyre takes the ref's belt from him and looks to whip Fatu.

Fatu catches an incoming Drew with a Superkick. Fatu begins to use multiple steel chairs to smash Drew across the back. Fatu gets the belt and begins to whip the tar out of Drew's back! Ouch! Drew will have welts from this. Fatu drops the belt and picks up the tool box to a big cheer. Fatu goes to smack Drew but walks right into a Claymore! Drew covers but only gets a two! Drew shoves the ref down after yelling at him off-mic. Fatu and Drew begin to throw fists, starting on their knees before rising to a vertical base. This continues back-and-forth for several moments until Fatu gains the upper hand with a series of rapid-fire headbutts! Fatu pulls a table into the ring for a pop and sets it up in the middle of the ring. Fatu slams Drew's face into the table a couple of times before positioning McIntyre on top of it.

Fatu uses a steel chair to smack McIntyre then clears some debris before heading up to the top turnbuckle. Drew quickly slips off the table and throws a steel chair into Fatu's face! Drew smacks Fatu with the chair again, then attacks Fatu. Fatu flies off the top, out of the ring, and through a table set up earlier in the match! Drew grabs Fatu's body and rolls it into the ring. Drew enters and looks for a Claymore, but Fatu fires off a Superkick! And another! Fatu uses the tool box to smash McIntyre in the face, causing him to fall back onto the table still set up in the middle of the ring. Fatu heads up top and hits his famous moonsault, putting Drew through the table! Fatu covers and picks up the win at 6:52pm!
Your Winner, Jacob Fatu! (14 minutes)
