CM Punk Reveals How He Convinced WWE To Let Him Use “Cult Of Personality”

Top All Elite Wrestling Star and former WWE Superstar CM Punk recently spoke with SPIN on what Living Colour's “Cult Of Personality” means to him and represents for him as well as the fans in 2011, which was when he first started to use the song as his entrance theme music in the WWE.

CM Punk said:

“I was this guy the fans loved.” “So the song ‘Cult of Personality’ represents when there is a distinct individual who has such charisma, such personality, that they develop this following, and it’s really not anything more than a cult. And more often times than not, that person turns out to be very dangerous.”

CM Punk also spoke about how he convinced WWE to let him use Living Colour's “Cult Of Personality” as his entrance theme music.

CM Punk said:

“It had a lot to do with me swinging my big ol’ dick around and making them invest in me as a person.”
