The main event of last night's episode of SmackDown saw Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins battle SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) in a Non-Title Match with the stipulation that if the SmackDown Tag Team Champions won the match, then Seth Rollins would have to forfeit his WWE Universal Title Match opportunity at the Royal Rumble Event, but if Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens won, then "The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns would have to defend his WWE Universal Title at the Royal Rumble, with The Usos banned from ringside.
The match ended with Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins beating The Usos via DQ after Roman Reigns made his way down to the ring and attacked Seth Rollins as he was about to secure the win for his team and per the stipulation, The Usos will now be banned from ringside at the Royal Rumble Event in the Universal Title Match.
The 2022 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is set to take place on Saturday, January 29th from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
