Damian Priest Sets New WWE United States Title Milestone Following Last Night's RAW

Top WWE RAW Star Damian Priest became the WWE United States Champion, when he defeated Sheamus at the 2021 WWE SummerSlam Event and has since defended his title against top calibre Superstars such as The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens, Robert Roode, Sami Zayn, Jinder Mahal, Jeff Hardy, Apollo Crews, and AJ Styles. Last night's episode of RAW saw Priest face Shelton Benjamin in a Non-Title Match and come out of the match on the winning end.

Following Priest's win over Benjamin last night on RAW, Damian set a new milestone by holding the WWE United States Title for 186 days now, which is the longest reign since Dean Ambrose/Jon Moxley’s 351-day WWE United States Title reign from May 2013 to April 2014. MVP’s record 343-day reign that lasted from May 2007 – April 2008 was shattered by former WWE Star Dean Ambrose at the time. Bobby Lashley's 175-day WWE United States Title reign was previously the most tenured United States Title reign, when he held the title from August 2020 – February 2021.

Damian Priest is set to put his WWE United States Title on the line against Finn Balor on next week's episode of RAW after Balor accepted Priest's Open Challenge on last night's show. Priest was also one of the Superstars WWE Hall of Famer Edge referenced as a potential opponent for WrestleMania 38.
