The Demon vs. Roman Reigns Announced For WWE Extreme Rules

Immediately following the main event of last night's Super SmackDown episode, where The Usos retained their SmackDown Tag Team Titles over The Street Profits via DQ due to an interference by "The Head Of The Table" WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, the WWE Universal Champion grabbed the mic and talked about Brock Lesnar. Reigns said if Lesnar wants a shot at his WWE Universal Title, then he can get it after he destroys Finn Balor at Extreme Rules.

The lights would then go out and Finn Balor would make his way down to the ring as The Demon. A face-to-face would then take place between The Demon and Roman Reigns, but neither of them got physical in any way. Super SmackDown would then go off the air with The Demon and The Bloodline having a face-to-face in the middle of the ring.

WWE would then announce that WWE Universal Champion "The Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns will be defending his WWE Universal Title against "The Demon" Finn Balor at the upcoming Extreme Rules PPV Event. Roman Reigns was previously announced to defend his WWE Universal Title against Finn Balor, but now Balor's alter-ego The Demon has been confirmed to challenge The Head Of The Table.

WWE Extreme Rules is set to take place on Sunday, September 26 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
