SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso) defended their SmackDown Tag Team Titles at last night's WWE Day 1 PPV against The New Day (King Woods and Sir Kofi Kingston) and came out of the match with the win. The match ended with The Usos finishing Kingston off with a 3D and getting a huge reaction from the crowd for using the move made famous by WWE Hall of Famers The Dudleys. It was even mentioned on commentary that The Usos are calling their version of the move "the 1D" as it stands for "One and Done."
WWE Hall of Famers The Dudley Boys (D-Von Dudley and Bubba Dudley) took to Twitter shortly after last night's WWE Day 1 PPV Event and praised The Usos for their performance at the PPV Event and they even reacted to how the SmackDown Tag Team Champions ended the match. The Usos would then re-tweet Bubba’s comments and thank him for the blessing of giving them permission for using their finishing move.
