Erick Redbeard Talks Tony Khan Flying Him Out To An Indie Event And Flying Him Back For An AEW PPV

Pro wrestling veteran and former WWE Star Erick Redbeard spoke with WrestlingHeadlines on a number of topics such as how he only found out about his match at the 2022 AEW Revolution Event just a few days prior to the match taking place, but he had a show coming up and he is not one to cancel his bookings so AEW President Tony Khan ended up flying him out to the indie event he was scheduled for, then flew him back for the AEW PPV.

Erick Redbeard said:

“I heard about it like a few days before I came up for the, I think it was a live Rampage, and they gave me the gist. I said to Tony, I was like, ‘Hey, I’m not wanting to cancel things. I was gonna go to the Big Event on Saturday. He was kind enough to pay for the flight back out there and back. So like, I was like, I can’t say no to this. This guy is paying money for me to still make my money.”

Erick Redbeard also spoke about how he loved competing in a wrestling ring with his fellow former WWE Stars such as Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews and PAC.

Erick Redbeard said:

“So yeah it was last minute. But like, you know, like guys like Aleister, and Buddy and you know Neville/PAC. I love those guys. So any chance to get in the ring with ’em, I’m all for it.”

Erick Redbeard then spoke about his favorite matchup of the year and that was a matchup that happened at WrestleMania 39.

Erick Redbeard said:

“I love those big guys beating the crap out each other. My favorite match of the year was, was Drew Sheamus and Gunther.”
