This past Saturday night during the Maximum Carnage episode of AEW Dynamite, Zayda Steel made her in-ring debut with the company, facing The Death Riders' Marina Shafir in a singles match, which she lost. Following the match, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan announced on his Twitter (X) account that Steel has officially signed with the company and is now considered "All Elite."
This is what Tony Khan wrote, “She put up a great fight in her AEW debut match on #AEWCollision tonight, and now it’s official:
@ZaydaSteel is All Elite!”
After the announcement, Steel took to her own Twitter (X) account, stating, “Y’all saw the fight. Now you’re gonna see the rise. All Elite. ❤️”
Steel previously made her first appearance on AEW programming during last week's Collision, where she confronted Shafir after SkyFlight lost to The Death Riders. During this confrontation, Megan Bayne attacked Steel and took her out with a running Ligerbomb. As of now, there is no information regarding the length of Steel’s contract with AEW, but updates will be shared as they become available.
Before joining AEW, Steel was signed to a WWE ID deal but chose not to renew it in October of last year. She made her ROH debut in December, during which she confronted Leila Grey in a backstage segment. In that month, Steel lost to Grey at ROH Final Battle but secured a victory against Rachael Ellering the following week.
