On June 2nd, WWE released a total of 6 Stars, including Lana, Murphy, Aleister Black, Braun Strowman, Santana Garrett and Ruby Riott reportedly due to budget cuts and their 90-day non-compete clause with the WWE is set to expire on Tuesday, August 31, which means that they will be able to sign with other pro wrestling promotions only after this date.
Speaking of Ruby Riott, she recently took to her Twitter and posted a picture of herself, showing off her new look as she is now sporting a cropped, bright red hair. At the time that Ruby Riott was still under contract to WWE, she was known for her signature green hair, which she cut short in late 2020.
Shortly after her WWE release, Ruby Riott mentioned in an interview that she had no plans of bringing back her old “Heidi Lovelace” name, which she used on the indies. Ruby also noted that her ring name, Ruby Soho, was inspired by the 1995 punk rock song of the same name by the band, Rancid from their “…And Out Come the Wolves” third studio album.
