As previously reported, IMPACT Wrestling announced multiple upcoming PPV dates during their Rebellion PPV, which includes their biggest PPV Event of the year, Slammiversary, which is set to take place on Saturday, July 17th. In a new promo that was aired for IMPACT Wrestling's Slammiversary PPV, a number of former WWE Stars were featured and teased like Daniel Bryan, the IIconics (Peyton Royce and Billie Kay) and the Forgotten Sons (Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler).
Similar to last month when IMPACT released a promo for Slammiversary, which featured a number of past WWE Stars such as Samoa Joe, Chelsea Green and Mickie James, this new promo has just been updated but with additional text such as “YES!”, “Bullet Club”, “Forgotten” and “II”.
This is similar to what happened last year when the promo for Slammiversary featured Eric Young, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Curt Hawkins, EC3, Drake Maverick, Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis, who were all released by the WWE as part of the company-wide cuts brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Daniel Bryan's WWE contract reportedly expired on the April 30 episode of WWE SmackDown, which is the same night he last competed for the WWE, when he lost to Roman Reigns in a WWE Universal Title Match. As of this writing, Daniel Bryan has yet to comment on his future and no updates have been given yet.
