Jim Ross Gives Thoughts On First-Ever Blood & Guts Match, Tony Khan's Recent Work, AEW Ratings Success

The first-ever Blood & Guts match was a success for All Elite Wrestling.

This is the opinion owned by WWE Hall Of Fame legend and one of the voices of AEW -- the iconic pro wrestling commentator Jim Ross.

During a recent installment of his official podcast, Grilling JR, the man who serves as one-third of the broadcast team for the weekly AEW Dynamite on TNT television program shared his thoughts on the Blood & Guts match between The Pinnacle and Inner Circle from last week's show.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the aforementioned "Grilling JR" episode, which features "Good Ole' J.R." also commenting on Tony Khan doing a good job as of late, AEW holding more creative / production meetings and the recent ratings success the company has enjoyed.

On his thoughts on the first-ever Blood & Guts match on AEW Dynamite last Wednesday night: "I thought it was good. You can always do something better, but I thought it was a nice creative outing. When you get that many guys in the ring, it’s always a crapshoot, no matter how good they are, no matter how talented they are, there’s 10 agendas. Whether we want to admit that or not, there’s 10 agendas when you have a 10 man tag. Everybody wants to get something in in a match that should be laid out to where everybody gets a slice of the pie."

On Tony Khan doing a good job with the storylines in AEW, more creative / production meetings as of late and recent ratings success: "We’ve had some good creative, Tony Khan has done a nice job of keeping these stories dotted together and we’re having more production meetings as a group which has really been helpful. We’re like any young company, we’re still growing and learning and trying to get better. I thought our last several weeks of creative have been good and I’m glad the ratings are doing well, we appreciate everybody’s support there."
