It was previously reported that last night's episode of RAW saw former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal make his return to the ring, with Veer (Rinku Singh) and Shanky (Dilsher Shanky) at his side when he faced Jeff Hardy in Singles action. This was Mahal's first time having a match on RAW since the April 27th, 2020 episode when he defeated Akira Tozawa.
After RAW went off the air, Jinder appeared on RAW Talk and made a bold statement that he will become the WWE Champion once again.
Jinder Mahal said, “I am so happy to be back on Monday Night RAW, knowing that I will be WWE Champion again.”
Jinder then said it doesn't matter who comes out on top on Sunday at WrestleMania Backlash as whoever that person may be, his day as WWE Champion is numbered.
Jinder Mahal said, “It doesn’t matter who wins that match. I guarantee you that, whoever comes out as WWE Champion, even if it’s my good friend Drew McIntyre, their days as champion are numbered.”
