-- TNA star Joe Hendry continues to make regular appearances for WWE's NXT brand and a report last week indicated that sources believe that WWE would be very interested in signing Hendry to a contract once his deal with TNA expires. However, it doesn't appear as if that is going to imminently happen.
-- Appearing on Talk is Jericho this week, Hendry didn't get into specifics on his contract situation with TNA but stated "we've got a while" when referring to that deal, which would likely mean that there is still considerable time left on that contract.
-- Hendry also spoke of his desire to face John Cena before the sure-fire future Hall of Famer retires at the end of 2025. Given the good working relationship between WWE and TNA, Hendry believes that anything is possible on that front while noting that TNA management has been very accommodating to him on outside ventures and opportunities. Hendry admitted that for a Cena match to happen, he has to get Cena's attention.
"I really, with my whole heart, 100 percent believe that’s going to happen. And I don’t just think it’s like the universe is going to give it to me. It’s my job to make that the most compelling story possible for John Cena."
"I have a world championship match at Slammiversary. I’m going to be in the main event. This is insane. I couldn’t get on a pay-per-view four months. Now, I’m in the main event for the world title at Slammiversary. I’ll tell you this now. If...when I win the title, I’m going to raise the title above my head, I’m going to take the microphone, and I’m going to say, ‘John Cena, you’ve done everything in this business. Almost, everything. If you want to cross the line…’ That’s what is going to happen."
