WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently took to his The Kurt Angle Show podcast, where he discussed the two worst injuries he has had in pro wrestling, one of which is a brutal chair shot from Brock Lesnar and the other is the concussion he suffered during the Triple Threat Main Event Match between the WWE Champion at the time The Rock, Triple H and himself at the 2000 SummerSlam Event.
Kurt Angle said:
“The chair shot that Brock gave me that broke my neck or this the concussion.” “Those two were the worst injuries I’ve had in pro wrestling.”
Kurt Angle then talked about if there was anyone in the backstage area who asked him to return to the match after suffering a concussion.
Kurt Angle said:
“I can’t answer that question.” “I won’t answer that question. I’ll keep that till the day I die.”
Kurt Angle also talked about after he suffered a concussion, a campaign where the WWE was telling the fans at home and in the arenas to “Don’t try this at home” started.
Kurt Angle said:
“I think that I was the poster child for concussions and the reason why we did the campaign for ‘Don’t try this at home’.” “The company needed to do something about it and they did fortunately. I’m very happy with their concussion protocol now, they have done an excellent job of making sure these guys know if they do get concussed, they’re not going to get passed to wrestle. They’re definitely not going to go out during a match if they got a concussion in it and go back out and wrestle again like I did that night.”
