The qualifying matches for the inaugural Owen Hart Foundation Tournament continue this evening on AEW Dynamite.
Ahead of tonight's edition of the weekly two-hour AEW on TBS television program, which emanates from the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, two decorated tag-team stars will leave their respective other-halves in the back when they attempt to secure a spot in the tourney.
Kyle O'Reilly of reDRagon and Jungle Boy of the AEW World Tag-Team Championship Jurassic Express duo will square off inside the squared circle this evening in the latest Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Qualifying match.
Before the show this evening, O'Reilly took to social media to comment on the personal significance of getting the opportunity to compete in the first tournament held in honor of the late wrestling legend from the iconic Hart Family out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
"It’s been at least a decade* since my last singles match but I won’t waste an opportunity to compete in the Owen Hart tournament and tear down one of AEW’s precious pillars," wrote O'Reilly via his official Twitter page this afternoon. "*maybe more like 6 months," he added as an edited-in correction.
Additionally, O'Reilly chimed back in a couple of minutes later with a follow-up post to his initial tweet.
"Strategy for tonight you ask," his second post began. "Let Jungleman’s inexperience create a moment or opening to attack."
O'Reilly continued, "If I can withstand an early assault based off his speed and eagerness and take him into deep waters I should be able to take his back and make him sleepy. This won’t be easy though."
