As previously reported, top AEW Star MJF was scheduled to make an appearance at the Double Or Nothing Fan Fest that took place yesterday, but he no-showed the previously scheduled meet and greet and this has led to his status for tonight's AEW Double Or Nothing PPV being uncertain. A report was then made by Fightful Select that AEW has remained quiet about the situation involving MJF and that AEW sources have told them that they were “very unhappy about how it all played out.” Another source would reveal that communication between MJF and AEW management have reached an all-time low.
It was also mentioned that MJF is physically fine, but there is a flight scheduled for him to fly out of Las Vegas, Nevada which was booked to leave the city late Saturday night, however no assurance has been given if MJF will board the plane as neither MJF nor AEW has given any information as to why the flight was booked the night before he is scheduled to compete at the Double Or Nothing PPV Event.
An update was recently provided by PWInsider.com that MJF is still in Las Vegas, Nevada and he didn't fly back to the East Coast despite having a ticket to return to Newark, New Jersey as if he did board the plane, then he would have arrived sometime after 6:30AM Sunday.
There is no word yet on if something was worked out between MJF and Tony Khan but at this point, it’s looking more likely that MJF will appear at tonight's Double Or Nothing and his match against Wardlow will be taking place.
