During the AEW Dynamite episode on Wednesday night, which followed the AEW Full Gear event and coincided with Thanksgiving Eve, four matches from the AEW Continental Classic Tournament took place, marking the start of the 2025 tournament. In one of the matches, Jon Moxley of The Death Riders defeated Máscara Dorada in the Blue League.
Following the loss, Dorada took to his Twitter (X) account to express his gratitude to Moxley for the match, even praising him as amazing. Dorada asserted that he is made for such challenges and declared his determination to ultimately win the Continental Classic Tournament.
This is what Máscara Dorada said, “Jon Moxley, thank you for this match. You are amazing. But Mascara Dorada is made for these kinds of challenges. I lost tonight, but the Continental Classic will be mine.”
