-- Wrestling veteran and multi-time champion Matt Hardy is now a free agent. A report by fightfulselect.com notes that Hardy's association with AEW ended, effective today after the two sides were unable to come to a contract extension or a new deal.
-- Technically, Hardy's AEW deal was up sometime in March but for one reason or another, it was extended through WrestleMania (perhaps in the event that WWE would consider bringing him in for their show as Hardy didn't have any periods of inactivity within AEW that would have added time to his contract). In any case, talks did take place between Hardy and AEW but he told people close to him that he was choosing to let his deal expire without signing anything new.
