Monday Night Raw

Monday Night Raw Quick Recap for 3/15/2021

Matches Tonight: 8
  • Drew McIntyre defeated the Miz by submission, utilizing the Hurt Lock to taunt his WrestleMania opponent, WWE Champion Bobby Lashley.
  • Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke defeated Lana & Naomi in tag team action. The match was short but solid.
  • In a match for the Raw Tag Team Championship, The New Day defeated The Hurt Business to become eleven-time tag team champions.
  • Damian Priest defeated Jaxson Ryker in a squash match. The match was about sixty seconds long; the entrances and video recaps took up about five minutes.
  • Braun Strowman vs Shane McMahon never materialized as the bell never rang. Strowman beat on Shane first, but Shane used a camera to beat Braun before hitting a diving elbow off the top rope, onto Braun, and through the table. Shane then poured two buckets of bright green paint on Braun, called him stupid, and left before the match could begin.
  • Asuka defeated Shayna Baszler in what was essentially a squash match. Asuka snapped afterwards and focused a brutal attack on Baszler's mouth as payback for Baszler dislodging one of Asuka's teeth last week.
  • In a match for the United States Championship, Riddle retained over Mustafa Ali. Ali had Riddle pinned but T-Bar attempted to distract the ref, and the ref didn't see it the pin cover. This distraction led to Riddle's win.
  • In our main event, non-title match, Bobby Lashley defeated Sheamus by pinfall. Solid match with Lashley proving to be very dominant while showcasing some of Sheamus' abilities towards the end. Both men sweat. A lot. Like, a lot a lot.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Our show opened with a fifteen minute segment that built upon the conflict between Lashley and McIntyre, as well as the Miz's disdain for McIntyre. The segment ended with the Miz & Morrison attacking McIntyre while Sheamus ambushed Lashley on the entry ramp.
  • Bad Bunny gave the 24/7 Championship to R-Truth, stating that he respected him and the business, and Truth deserved the title.
  • Alexa Bliss challenged Randy Orton to a match this Sunday at Fastlane. Orton accepted.
  • There was a lot of build-up for McIntyre vs Lashley at WrestleMania, and it may possibly become a triple threat involving Sheamus (Note: this is my opinion and was not in any way stated by officials or announcers.)
  • A lot of hype for this weekend's Fastlane and the fact that it'll be on the Peacock.
