Monday Night Raw Quick Recap for 4/12/2021

Matches Tonight: 7
  • In our opening match, the Almighty WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defeated Riddle in a fifteen-minute squash match.
  • Our second match saw the surprise return of the Viking Raiders, who put on a short but solid match against Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin. The Vikings emerged victorious, and the Sons of Ragnar ride again.
  • Our third match was a WrestleMania 37 rematch between new Raw Women's Champion Rhea Ripley and Asuka. The match ended in a no-contest as Charlotte Flair attacked both Asuka and Rhea Ripley to end a solid match between the champ and former champ.
  • Our fourth match saw the Miz & Morrison defeat Damian Priest in a 2-on-1 Handicapped match, thanks to a distraction by Maryse.
  • Our fifth match saw Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler defeat Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke in non-title action by count-out. After mocking Jax for tripping twice while getting in the ring (a reference to Rose's issue with tripping at WrestleMania), both Brooke & Rose left the ring. They backed up the ramp, exclaiming it wasn't worth it, and willingly took the count-out loss.
  • Our sixth match saw the New Day defeat Elias & Jaxson Ryker in a very good match that showed a great amount of improvement from Elias & Ryker as a cohesive tag unit. Elias & Ryker utilized some unique double-team moves.
  • Our main event was a triple-threat number one contender match, with the winner earning a title shot against WWE Champion Bobby Lashley at Backlash. Drew McIntyre defeated Randy Orton and Braun Strowman, and will face Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Notable returns tonight: the Viking Raiders, Charlotte Flair (she's been gone weeks, after all)
  • Flair cut a promo, turning heel and telling everyone that she's better than them and is tired of being humble (lol, ok).
  • Alexa's playground returned tonight, and Alexa told the story of a little girl who used to need "the Darkness" (aka, the Fiend) but has realized that she's the one with the true power. Weird segment.
  • The Firefly Fun House returned tonight, and Bray returned as well. Bray's excited for a new beginning and hinted the Fiend may be gone for a bit, but I may be mistaken.
  • After the main event, MVP made his way out and watched as T-Bar and Mace (formerly of Retribution) attack McIntyre, leaving us with more questions than answers.
