Monday Night Raw Quick Recap for 5/24/2021

Matches Tonight: 7
  • In a lengthy and very impressive opening match to determine who would face the Almighty WWE Champion Bobby Lashley at Hell in a Cell, Drew McIntyre fought Kofi Kingston to a double-DQ or no contest. Very impressive, lengthy match that ended when Lashley and MVP attacked both men. Later in the night Adam Pearce announced they would have a rematch next week.
  • In a beat the clock challenge, Nikki Cross defeated Raw Women's Champion Rhea Ripley by surviving for two minutes. Ripley lost track of time while pummeling Cross in the corner as time expired.
  • Charlotte Flair defeated arch-rival Asuka in a lengthy, and another very-solid match (especially for Raw), avenging her loss from last week.
  • In yet another lengthy and very good match, Cedric Alexander stole a win from Shelton Benjamin thanks to a well-placed jab to the eye.
  • The streak of lengthy and incredibly good matches continued as Riddle defeated Xavier Woods with an RKO (yes, you read that) to pick up the win after an incredible match.
  • In a short yet interesting match, Jaxson Ryker defeated AJ Styles due to interference from Elias behind the ref's back. It appears they're setting up a tag championship feud.
  • In a non-title match, Humberto Carrillo lost once again to United States Champion Sheamus as their feud continues to build. Short, brutal match.
  • In a rematch main event for the Women's Tag Team Championships, Natalya & Tamina retained against former champs Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax after Reginald the Sommelier again caused a distraction and cost them their titles.
Miscellaneous Non-Match Segments of Note:
  • Adam Pearce threatened to suspend and fine MVP and/or Lashley for ninety days if they interfered during the McIntyre and Kingston rematch, which will take place next week (not tonight as previously announced.)
  • Multiple promos announced the start of a 25-city tour for the WWE, with SmackDown, Money in the Bank and Raw airing live before a crowd in July.
  • After the main event, a furious Shayna Baszler challenged Reginald to a match next week and promised to destroy him.
