It was previously reported that WWE legend John Cena may be on his way back to the promotion as there were reports that mentioned that Cena's return will take place alongside the WWE’s return to the road this coming July, starting with the Money In the Bank PPV Weekend. According to PWInsider.com, taping for the "Peacemaker" HBO Max series, which stars WWE legend John Cena, will be wrapping up production in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on July 6th, which means that John Cena will be able to return to the United States anytime after July 6th and he will be available to appear and compete for WWE at any point.
John Cena last competed for the WWE at WrestleMania 36 when he lost a Firefly Fun House Match to "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. It was previously announced that Cena will executive produce and narrate a new WWE Evil series for Peacock and the WWE Network. The Peacemaker HBO Max series is expected to be released in January of 2022.
