As previously reported, NJPW revealed this past May 4th that two of their talents had tested positive for COVID-19. As a result of that shocking revelation, NJPW has decided that PCR testing was required for the entire roster and it was revealed that seven more wrestlers tested positive for the virus. It was also reported that Kazuchika Okada was one of the talents who got pulled from the second night of the Wrestling Dontaku Event due to being in contact with the two initial people who tested posted for the virus.
According to Tokyo Sports, Kazuchika Okada was one of the nine NJPW wrestlers who tested positive for COVID-19 and that Okada tested negative several times before testing positive once he ended up with a fever.
Okada revealed that he tried to continue his training at home, but he didn’t have the energy. He also revealed that he is feeling a lot better now. There's no word yet on when Okada will return to action but updates will be provided as it becomes available.
