NXT the Great American Bash Quick Recap for July 5, 2022

Matches Tonight: Six (approx. 61 minutes)
  • NXT Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Toxic Attraction vs Cora Jade & Roxanne Perez. Great match that saw Jade & Perez become the new champions. 8:08-8:18pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Wes Lee vs Trick Williams. Williams won the short match after using rubbing alcohol, stored in a water bottle, to irritate the eyes of Wes Lee. 8:28-8:32pm EST.
  • Singles Match: Wendy Choo vs Tiffany Stratton. Pre-match brawl began at 8:33pm, so that'll be reflected in the start time. Choo started this fight but it was Stratton who finished it, picking up the clean win. 8:33-8:42pm EST.
  • North American Championship Match: Carmelo Hayes(c) vs Grayson Waller. Great match that saw both men wake up the dead crowd, put on amazing efforts, and give it their all as Hayes retained. 9:03-9:16pm EST.
  • NXT Tag Team Championship Match: the Creed Brothers(c) vs Roderick Strong & Damon Kemp. The Creeds held on to retain. 9:28-9:40pm EST.
  • NXT Championship Match: Bron Breakker(c) vs Cameron Grimes. Breakker pulled off the win and was attacked by JD McDonagh (Jordan Devlin, repackaged) afterwards. 9:54-10:07pm EST.

  • Apollo Crews Addressed the NXT Universe: He cut a friendly promo but was interrupted by Giovanni Vinci (to a dead crowd), setting up next week's match. 8:49-8:53pm EST.
