A big announcement was recently made by the WWE that NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez is going to defend her NXT Women's Championship against her former friend and tag partner, Dakota Kai, at the NXT TakeOver: 36 PPV Event. For several months, Gonzalez and Kai have been unstoppable as a duo until Kai turned her back on Gonzalez two weeks ago on NXT.
Kai then cut a promo on Gonzalez last Tuesday night on NXT TV and said she brought Gonzalez into this world and she will take Raquel Gonzalez out of this world by becoming the new NXT Women’s Champion at TakeOver. Tonight's episode of NXT TV will see NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez appear to address the situation between her and Dakota Kai as well as their match at TakeOver.
NXT TakeOver: 36 is set to take place on Sunday, August 22nd from the Capitol Wrestling Center at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
