— Governor Kevin Stitt is still trying to bring in pro wrestling, MMA and boxing into Oklahoma as a way to generate revenue but the only way that would happen is if there are fans in attendance and people traveling to shows and spending money. Nonetheless, Stitt is still focusing on these sports because they aren’t any of the four mainstream sports and there are no unions so there won’t be that level of pressure and scrutiny, according to the Observer Newsletter. Oklahoma and other states like Florida are likely of the mindset that if they are the first ones to open up sports to a live audience, everyone will run to those shows because there will be no other options of that nature in the rest of the country.
