On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, Adam Cole was involved in a scary looking spot when Kyle Fletcher attempted to powerbomb him onto the ring apron. On live TV (video below), it appeared as if Cole banged the back of his head on the apron but in actuality, Fletcher luckily misjudged the distance and Cole's head/neck missed the apron but his elbow smacked against it.
On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez stated that there were a lot of people within AEW who were very unhappy or even "furious" with Fletcher's apparent carelessness. Alvarez added that Cole has a history of head injuries and concussions that are documented and he's also suffered concussions that haven't been made public and he was kept off TV and the news simply never came out. Alvarez also went on to criticize Fletcher saying that if he was a little bit more accurate, he could have potentially injured Cole badly while questioning what his intent even was.
