Report: WWE Discussing New NXT Show; Team Reportedly Created to Produce Series for Network

-- WWE is looking to create another NXT show presumably to debut on the WWE Network next year, according to a report by wrestlinginc.com and later corroborated by f4wonline.com. The report notes that WWE has so heavily discussed this new show that Triple H has created a new team to head up the show and it will be led by former EVOLVE founder Gabe Sapolsky. The show is envisioned as sort of a minor league for NXT, focusing on talent that are trying to make it up to the main NXT roster. HHH is said to be a major believer in Sapolsky's writing and has surrounded him with agents, producers and other writers.

-- The original plan was to have this "promotion" tour in some of the smaller arenas that NXT used to visit, however, with no end in sight to the pandemic and live events possibly never returning, if this ends up materializing, it would likely end up on the network as an ongoing series. Discussions for this minor league promotion have been happening for a long time but is currently targeted for early 2021, though the pandemic could further delay that.

-- Sapolsky for his part tweeted "Things get way overblown", likely as a direct response to the reports.
