-- Despite optimism that they would be able to hold SummerSlam next month in front of a live audience, it appears WWE will once again be forced to tape/air the PPV from the Performance Center, as per a report from pwinsider.com. Previous reports indicated that Vince McMahon was adamant to hold the PPV with live fans in attendance, even if it meant pushing the PPV back to September as COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease. However, with the number of cases spiking around the United States and several states re-tightening their rules around managing the pandemic, that option appears to be closing fast.
-- WWE had planned a four-day SummerSlam week, running from 8/21 to 8/24 in Boston, MA but those plans will also be changing.
