Rob Van Dam is dealing with an injury after his recent appearance in MLW.
On a recent episode of his podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer shared that he broke both of his heels during his appearance at MLW Battle Riot in Los Angeles.
Van Dam was a surprise entrant in the match but was eventually eliminated by MLW Champion Matt Riddle, who went on to win the whole thing. RVD explained that the injury happened during his elimination, when he took a bump out of the ring and hit the guardrail—but instead of landing the way he intended, he came down on his feet.
“I must have landed flat on my feet instead of catching the rail like I thought,” he said. X-rays later showed fractures in both of his heels.
Van Dam added that the injury has kept him off his feet completely since the event.
