Rumor Killer On Adam Copeland Possibly Facing John Cena In His Retirement Match

Ever since WWE Intercontinental Champion John Cena announced his "The Last Time Is Now Tournament," a 16-man tournament where the winner gets the chance to face the 17-time World Champion in his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C., fans have been speculating about the possible return of former WWE star Adam Copeland (Edge). However, Copeland is currently under contract with AEW.

In the latest edition of Fightful Select Answers, Sean Ross Sapp reported that there have been “no conversations, and no conversations about conversations” regarding Copeland’s appearance in WWE. He also noted that the topic hasn’t been discussed beyond the fact that Copeland is under contract with AEW, and Tony Khan would not allow such an appearance to happen. Therefore, the possibility of a match between Cena and Copeland has never been on the table. The "Last Time Is Now" tournament kicked off on RAW, with Sheamus and Rusev advancing.
