Rumor Killer On WWE NXT Wrestler Over Misinterpreted Social Media Post

Earlier today, WWE NXT wrestler Tyra Mae Steele posted on social media in a post that had many people assuming she was released from WWE. Here's what she tweeted:

"On a weekend off working for WWE, I went back to Olympic wrestling, won gold at Worlds, prize purse was $350000.... Tried to go back to WWE that Monday. They moved me up to Raw, just to tell me they had to let me go bc I went behind their back.... So was this a DREAM or NIGHTMARE"

Several stories then were reported elsewhere that Steele was "let go" by the company but WWE sources have since clarified that she was not released at all, is still with the company, and that her tweet was literally talking about a "dream" and not reality.

Steele, whose real name is Tamyra Mensah Stock, is a Gold Medallist from the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo before signing with WWE where she has appeared on NXT, Evolve and LFG.
