Several International TNA Talent & Staff Unable To Work Tonight's IMPACT Premiere On AMC Due To Visa Delays

Tonight's TNA IMPACT is a big show, with the promotion premiering on their new TV home - AMC. Unfortunately, it hasn't been all smooth sailing leading up to tonight's show with creative rewrites leading to some plans being changed.

PWInsider.com reported that creative for tonight's IMPACT was not only changed but plans for Saturday's Genesis PPV also were impacted. The reason for this is due to a number of non-American talents not getting the necessary clearances to be able to work in the United States with the show taking place in Texas.

Specifically, international talents from the U.K. and Canada weren't able to get their completed work visas in time from the United States government and thus would be unable to appear on the show. The report mentioned X-Division champion Leon Slater as perhaps the most high-profile name who was still waiting for his visa.

Along with wrestlers, there were several other backstage staffers from Canada who were not able to travel to the United States for work while the paperwork for their visas was being processed. As a result of all this, TNA management and their creative team had been working on alternate plans and ideas over the last two days.
