Shane "Swerve" Strickland got to stand on the pitcher's mound inside loanDepot Park in Miami, Florida on Sunday afternoon.
The MLB's Miami Marlins (22-30) franchise played the first of their scheduled double-header inside their home venue in Miami-Dade County this afternoon, dropping a game to the San Francisco Giants (29-24).
Prior to the game getting started, the aforementioned AEW star and former WWE Superstar known as Isiah "Swerve" Scott of the Hit Row faction took to the pitcher's mound to throw out the honorary first pitch.
After whizzing one down the line to the Marlins catcher, Strickland surfaced via social media to comment on experiencing the great honor of America's favorite pastime.
"Honorary [first] pitch of the game," Strickland started as the caption to a post that included video footage of his ceremonial first pitch, which he published on his official Twitter feed shortly after stepping off the pitcher's mount at loanDepot Park in Miami, FL. today. "Big thank you goes out to Mike Biana, Josh Appel and the rest of the Marlins organization!!!"

For those interested, the Miami Marlins would go on to lose to the San Francisco Giants with a final score of 5-to-1, which included a rare Grand Slam Home-Run by Donovan Walton in the fourth inning that essentially decided the difference in the final numbers on the scoreboard.
