Summer Rae Explains Why She Didn't Use Her Real Name In WWE

Since leaving WWE in 2017, Danielle Moinet, aka Summer Rae, has become the Director of Marketing and Social Engagement for Cornerstone Global Management.

Rae spent 6 years with WWE, spending time as a dancer beside Fandango, and displaying a love interest in Rusev, during a feud with Lana and Dolph Ziggler.

Summer Rae recently sat down for an interview with the TWC Show, where she discussed her on-camera ideas. Rae mentioned:

"I would say no to a lot of things or push for a lot of things. "The main thing I was super upset with is that I didn't get to use my real name and they wanted me to use Summer. Hindsight is 20/20 because now, I'm so happy that I used Summer because when agents and producers look at it, they're like, 'Oh, you're a great actress. You were playing Summer.' The fact that it wasn't my name, I have been up and close to a couple of reality shows since then. My stance is, in theory, I tell people I'm not open to it, but I'd love to hear them out. If someone from Netflix wants to talk to me, absolutely. Who knows what people will be producing in the future. So, I always talk to people."

Summer Rae also revealed that she was a finalist for Real Housewives Nashville, but failed to make the final cut for the show.
